Hyundai Warranty Frequently Asked Questions in Broken Arrow, OK
New Hyundai vehicles benefit from the extensive coverage of the Hyundai Warranty. We here at Purdy Hyundai often hear a variety of questions, so we’ve prepared this article to help answer a few of the most common.
Bumper-to-Bumper Coverage
Every new Hyundai comes with a 5-Year/60,000-Mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. This bumper-to-bumper coverage handles the repair or replacement of defective components including the engine, transmission, infotainment system, air conditioning, electrical systems, steering, and suspension. It's broad protection that gives you confidence on every drive. And unlike some competitors, this warranty is transferable if you sell your vehicle and it's still within the 5-year/60,000-mile window, the new owner inherits that coverage.
Industry-Leading Powertrain Warranty
This is where Hyundai really stands apart. The 10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty is the best in the business, covering your engine, driveshaft, and transmission long after other brands' coverage has expired. It applies to the original vehicle owner and provides exceptional long-term peace of mind for anyone planning to keep their Hyundai for the long haul.
Rust and Corrosion Protection
Hyundai also includes a 7-Year/Unlimited-Mile Anti-Perforation Warranty, which covers rust-through corrosion damage to your vehicle's body panels from the inside out. This is particularly valuable for drivers in regions with harsh winters or road salt. Note that this does not cover surface damage caused by environmental factors, but it does protect the structural integrity of your vehicle's sheet metal when traveling in and out of Broken Arrow.
EV and Hybrid Battery Coverage
If you're driving one of Hyundai's popular electric or hybrid models, like the IONIQ 6 or TUCSON Hybrid, then your high-voltage battery is covered for 10 Years/100,000 Miles. This also extends to hybrid system components like the hybrid-start generator, so you can enjoy the efficiency of electrified driving without worrying about battery replacement costs from frequent trips to Events Park.
Coverage for the Little Things
One thing that surprises many of our customers is that Hyundai even covers wear items like brake pads, wiper blades, and fuses for the first year or 12,000 miles. Most manufacturers leave these entirely to the owner. Genuine Hyundai replacement parts and accessories are also covered under a 1-Year/12,000-Mile Replacement Parts and Accessories Limited Warranty, and can be found at our Parts Department.
24/7 Roadside Assistance
Rounding out the package is 5-Year/Unlimited-Mile Roadside Assistance. Whether you have a flat tire, dead battery, or need a tow, help is just a phone call away. It's the kind of support that makes owning a Hyundai feel worry-free on frequent trips up to Broken Bow Lake.
What's Not Covered
To keep your warranty intact, it's important to be aware of a few exclusions. Damage from accidents, environmental events, aftermarket modifications, and repairs performed by non-certified technicians are not covered. That's why we always recommend bringing your Hyundai to our Service Department, since it protects your coverage and ensures your vehicle is serviced to factory standards.

“ You have options in the Tulsa area for Hyundai. Avoid Tulsa Hyundai altogether awful experience with their finance department David Skinner rude and unprofessional. On the other hand our sales associate at Purdy Reggie is fantastic! Ask for Reggie in Broken Arrow! ”
“ My experience at Purdy Hyundai was awesome! Andrew Stringer was my sales associate, and he was fantastic! I've been to other dealerships who didn't want to deal with me alone. They asked where my husband was and when he could come in. But not at Purdy!! Not once did they mention my husband. I truly appreciate that. And Candace Muse did everything she could to help me get into my new car! Amazing dealership, amazing people! ”
“ My experience at this dealership was fantastic! The process was smooth and Ish was an amazing salesman. He took very good care of me. Highly recommend buying your future car here. ”
“ I purchased a vehicle here as an out of state resident so I had to drive up from Texas to finalize the sale and pickup the car. Going into the process, I was apprehensive about how much time I would have to spend at the dealership so was expecting the typical car-buying hassle of having to go through hours of paperwork, endure upsell pitches and endless waiting while someone "talked to the manager," etc.... I could not have been more pleasantly surprised... From the moment I arrived, everything was ready to go. The staff met me upon arrival, had all of my paperwork prepared, and the entire closing process took less than an hour. There was no back-and-forth, no pressure tactics, and none of the hassles I was expecting. My vehicle was ready and waiting for me, making the long drive home stress-free. A special shout-out to Kaley M., who was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process and who consistently kept me informed, checked multiple times to make sure I understood everything, and always asked if there was anything I needed. Even went so far as to make sure the vehicle was fully charged and ready for my drive back to Texas. She followed up the next day to make sure everything was going well, had my Bluelink account set up within just a few days, and even called twice after the sale to ensure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. The level of service and follow-up I received was far beyond what I expected when buying a car. The entire transaction was smooth, efficient, and handled by genuinely friendly people who cared about the customer experience. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to others and would not hesitate to purchase from them again. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to Kaley, for making this one of the easiest vehicle purchases I've ever experienced. ”
“ Cabin is amazing , he listens and isn’t pushy, my first time to look at cars alone. He’s great! ”

“ Steven was super helpful today in helping me get a car within my budget. Worked with the down payment as well and gave me a new battery for the car ”
“ I had an incredible experience purchasing my new Elantra. The staff at Purdy were top notch the second I entered the door and I was given an extremely good deal on my brand new vehicle. I especially like to thank Kaley for making the process easy and enjoyable. 10 out 10 would recommend! ”
“ I started going to the service department at Purdy a few years ago when it was Regional Hyundai for routine service on my 2017 Elantra. Always a welcome and easy experience. In the past few months I started to have a couple of different problems with my car that landed me in the service center a handful of times. Chris has been my service advisor and I cannot recommend him enough! He went above and beyond in every interaction to make each experience as easy as possible for me. His customer service skills are exceptional, he kept me informed through the entire process and never pressured me to add on unnecessary services, always giving me an honest recommendation based on his experience and knowledge. I’ve also been helped by Vu and Michael, both great guys to work with as well. Tulsa Hyundai is much closer to where I live and work, but I will go out of my way to go to Purdy every single time just for their service department. I’m excited to bring my new Elantra in for her first oil change in a few months! ”
“ Bill chaalan! Great experience purchasing a car from him. Extremely nice and very knowledgeable. From the start to finish. If you're looking to buy a car go ask for him at purdy hyundai in broken Arrow. ”
“ I had the best experience at Purdy Hyundai. Our sales consultant was Kaley Mahaffey, and she was the sweetest, most transparent, and extremely knowledgeable. So happy with my used Hyundai! I highly recommend buying a car from Purdy and asking for Kaley. 💛⭐️ ”
“ Very pleasant experience with entire process. Staff extremely knowledgeable and pleasure to work with. We enjoy our Santa Fe ”
“ These guys are a great group of people to buy from. Myleigh, Andrew and Deno were very honest and helpful during the process and that is a great trait to have to sell cars. Deno treated my family like he knew them immediately when we got there. Very much appreciated them and will definitely recommend them and do business again in the future. ”
“ I went to the dealership knowing I was upside down on my car and really didn't have much hope for a deal. I had already gone to a different dealership that morning with no luck. Andrew is pretty cool and found me a couple of cars he thought I'd like and I certainly did. Deno was helping with finances and he took no time breaking the ice and got us laughing. Andrew was not pushy at all, and I appreciate that. Deno got us to the price we could do, even giving us 2000 more for my trade than the last dealership offered. I drove away in my brand new Hyundai Sonata and am loving it! ”
“ I had a great experience purchasing my 2026 Tucson at Purdy Hyundai. Matthew, Deno, and Yusef were fabulous. From the test drives with Matthew, to the financial explanation from Deno, to the actual signing with Yusef, my experience was hands down the best I have experienced. Thanks for all of your help! See you all when I bring my vehicle in for an oil change. ”
“ Ish and Reggie helped me get my car! They work so helpful and amazing. Recommend 1000000% ”

“ Bill chaalan was the BEST! ”
“ Such a great experience with Bill Chaalan and Jason they went above and beyond for us. ”
“ It took seven months, but they finally made it right. ”
“ Worst car buying experience of my life and will never recommend someone to buy a car from them….STAY AWAY….Bought a used car with 56000 miles and picked it up Jan 2nd Within 2 days of picking up the car Engine light came on…faulty transmission took it to them on Jan 15th. yes they replaced it AND TOOK 2 months. Got it back on march 12 Less than 24 hours after i got it back another engine light and now it’s the catalytic converter. THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT…it is beyond pathetic. And while the car was in the shop I rarely received communication unless I reached out first. They are beyond being the worst….and I did reach out to the email here and no one ever responds. UPDATE: Replaced the catalytic converter cost me $1400 in April. going to OKC July 3 left me and my 83 yo mother on the side of the highway with possible blown head gasket or blown engine. Still trying to get this properly diagnosed. Have never in my life had suck a horrible experience and have always bought a used car. Reality have made 6 car payments on a car that I haven’t even driven long enough to get my first oil change. Has been in the shop more than it has been out. ”
“ What a horrible experience. Tanner was more interested in asking if I was serious about purchasing today and then started in asking if I was still making payments on my current car. All be for answering my first question, do you have the hybrid Elantra I’m interested in in stock. Even going so far as to say well there’s one you can sit in (not even the Elantra I was interested in) if you want to see what it’s like. Don’t get nosey about my current vehicle (which would have zero connection to my current purchase) and my payments before answering the most important question, do you have the vehicle I want? Tanner reminded me why I LOATH stepping into a dealership. You walk away feeling like you’ve been somewhere sleazy. ”
“ I have been working directly with Wayne Arnett in the service department here. At Wayne's recommendation, we opened a case with Hyundai concerning our 2017 Hyundai Sonata that is burning 1 quart of oil about 800 miles or so. The burning oil issue is well documented online. This issue is now causing the catalytic converter to have issues as well. I have had many conversations with Wayne where the dealership would open up a RPA with Hyundai in order to obtain some kind of goodwill assistance or engine replacement. $4k worth of repairs seems excessive. An example of this is where the dealership quoted $400 to replace the spark plugs. I took care of that myself for about $30. As of this writing, no one from the dealership or Hyundai has reached out to provide an update. Also, no RPA has been opened by Wayne as of this writing. It seems that Hyundai nor the dealership stands behind the brand anymore. My next step will be to reach out to 2 News Oklahoma to share my disappointing experience with them. Edit: 10/21/2025 No one from Purdy Hyundai has reached out . Disappointed in the poor communication from the service team there. It seems that management only responds / cares about the positive reviews. It is reviews like these that get peoples attention. News story coming soon folks. Will let you know when it will air. Edit: 10/28/2025.. Still no response from the dealership. Our last two Hyundai cars have not turned out well. It seems Hyundai is having quality issues with their cars. I don't recommend purchasing a Hyundai or getting "Extra" services from the dealership. Best to work with a local mechanic like Christian Brothers. Your best bet is to go with Honda or Toyota for your next vehicle purchase. I have heard good things about Jim Norton Toyota. ”
“ Everyone seemed very nice when we were purchasing the vehicle in December. It’s June and I have several issues with my brand new vehicle. Cannot get a time with this dealership when they have a loaner car. We have tried setting something up since March. They state we were on a wait list for a loaner car (30 on wait list). No call backs or updates. Husband had to initiate all calls for updates. Three months later now we are 3rd on wait list. Called Barry Sanders Supercenter in Stillwater and they are getting us in same day with a loaner car I recommend Barry Sanders for your car purchases. Excellent service and we didn’t even buy from them. Very disappointed with Purdy. ”
“ Everyone was helpful and excited to make a sale, but when warranty or recall work comes up, they refuse to call with scheduling updates. I have called since mid March to have our new Santa Fe serviced, obviously we need a loaner, and its excuses excuses excuses. "We will call you" is all I hear, and go weeks without getting a call. If you're in the market, go look at any number of other Hyundai dealerships, once this one makes a sale, you dont matter much to them. If I could leave a review with zero stars, I would. ”
“ They tried to be shady by hiding all the extra junk fees, coincidentally totalling the same amount I was paying as a down payment. Plus, I told them beforehand not to run my credit since we already had an approval from our bank with a much lower 5.99% interest rate welllllll....they did not respect that and they totally ran my credit, 2x!!! They tried denying it BUT Experian notified me at the exact moment they did it!!! I noticed before signing that the total balance (after supposedly subtracting my down payment) was still the same amount, as if I put nothing down! That placed me on high alert & I requested to see the complete breakdown of all the extra fees/charges. The dude in the financial department started getting really annoyed at me because I asked to view that. He tried ignoring my request by steering the conversation to my husband...ignorance in his part thinking my husband was going to side with him by changing the subject. 5.5k down payment was all junk fees & as I was telling him to remove all that extra crap he added because we didn't request nor did we agree with any of his/their add-ons he continued getting more & more annoyed at me! He kept saying "oh you'll need this for this" "oh you'll need that for that"...dude, its not my 1st purchase at a dealership, you can't BS me...So, since my request to remove his add-ons was inconveniencing him I told him not to stress, we aren't interested in the truck anymore & we simply just left...the financial department at this dealership is a real joke...No deal...took our business to Ferguson in BA to purchase 2 trucks. No regrets at Ferguson. ALWAYS read everything before signing anything. ”
Review: Hidden Fees & Zero Transparency This
“ Review: Hidden Fees & Zero Transparency This dealership was a terrible experience. They didn’t honor the advertised price or the price we agreed on, and added hidden fees at the end. When I came back to use the Hyundai 3‑day worry‑free exchange, they suddenly claimed they “aren’t part of that program” and were rude and dismissive about it. The salesman also failed to mention that my car doesn’t come with a spare tire, and I was charged the price of a higher trim than the one I actually received. Completely dishonest and unprofessional. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for transparency or basic respect. ”

“ I purchase my vehicle and was doing majority of its servicing here until the new ownership. I went in to have my brakes done and the service person didn't listen to anything I was saying and than told me the cost and wanted to know if I could still have it done. I left and had done at another dealership. I have found the change to ownership and staff to be obnoxious, I would not recommend them nor will I go back ”
Very disappointing experience.
“ Very disappointing experience. The “face” sales people were friendly and helpful. The finance person was good. The two guys from the office (Sales Managers?) Charlie and Dino were dishonest, arrogant and insulting. If not fired, they should never talk to a customer. You can tell when a person is over their head when they use words like “stuff” and “things” to explain answers to questions. Charlie was full of excuses that didn’t connect. Lots of “used car salesman” phrases thrown around, but for example tried an amateur tactic to tell us the price was going to go up the next day, and that he was losing money; literally told us had $2500 more in it than the published price. I’m sure Purdy is either a charity, or not smart enough to price things to be profitable… Dino takes the award for being the worst service oriented person I have met in my life. After we paid, and were waiting for car to be brought around, we were told they didn’t have a second key to give us, but that we should come back the next day for a second key. When my wife and daughter returned the next afternoon, they were made to wait for a long time, then told they would have to pay for the second key. Dino came out with extreme attitude and drama. My wife simply stated that we were told we would have a second set of keys included in our purchase and were told to come back today. My daughter called her fiancée on her phone to listen to the conversation when he started becoming irrational and offensive. Dino literally pointed at my wife and told her to be quiet because he wasn’t talking to her, and he also said that she had a “Cruella D’Ville look” about her. He cut both wife and daughter off several times, was condescending, angry and rude. My daughter commented that she wasn’t sure she had seen a sexist attitude before, but was certain that was it. His parting shot was “Do not come back even if the receptionist calls you. We don’t want to see you here until I call you.” When I look at the Purdy Group website, it says they are service oriented. Charlie fit into what a used car salesman is characterized to be. Dino is a HR liability. FWIW, I am a VP of Sales for a multi-billion dollar company, so I have a decent understanding of business and sales. ”
